Crothersville Community Schools Earns the State's Highest Rating!
Ten Receive Funding for Innovative Education Initiatives
Crothersville Community Schools received an Innovative Education Initiative Grant in the amount of $338,639 to create a high tech student learning center promoting project based learning and to enhance the early college initiative.

Crothersville Elementary Earns 4-Star Status
Crothersville Elementary has earned a Four Star rating from the Indiana Department of Education. To become a Four Star School, the elementary performed in the top 25% of schools in the state in math and English on the ISTEP+. In addition, the school met Adequate Yearly Progress under the federal "No Child Left Behind Act."
Students at Crothersville Community Schools are seen as valued individuals who have the right to equal opportunities in developing individual abilities. Teachers use a variety of teaching strategies to address various learning styles as well as engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching. Students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities to broaden their learning experience. Many students have had great success in contests and competitions as a result of their talents in extra-curricular activities.
Crothersville Schools Meets AYP
Dr. Goodin, Superintendent of Crothersville Community Schools, is proud to announce that Crothersville Elementary and Crothersville Junior-Senior High have met the requirements for AYP.According to the Indiana Department of Education, under The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, adequate yearly progress (AYP) designations for Indiana school corporations and schools are determined by student achievement and participation rates on ISTEP+ in English/language arts and mathematics; student attendance rates (for elementary and middle schools); and high school graduation rates (for high schools). Schools must make AYP in all student groups in order to meet AYP.
Crothersville has met AYP for the past three school years.
