Crothersville Community Schools Earns the State's Highest Rating!
Crothersville Community Schools Superintendent, Dr. Terry Goodin, has announced that Crothersville Community Schools will use the non-scheduled school days of April 18th, May 2nd, and May 6th to make-up three missed weather days. The remaining balance of missed weather days will be made-up by extending the school days by one (1) hour each day starting Monday February 17th, 2014 with a tentative ending date of Friday, May 2nd, 2014:
Starting Time (no change) 8:00 AM
Ending Time (one hour later) 4:00 PM
Parents please make all necessary arrangements for this change and plan your activities according. Thank you for your cooperation.
Due to the two (2) missed days of March 3 & 4, 2014, the one (1) hour extended school day will continue through Friday, May 2nd, 2014.
Students at Crothersville Community Schools are seen as valued individuals who have the right to equal opportunities in developing individual abilities. Teachers use a variety of teaching strategies to address various learning styles as well as engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching. Students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities to broaden their learning experience. Many students have had great success in contests and competitions as a result of their talents in extra-curricular activities.
TRANSFER STUDENT INFORMATION
Crothersville Community Schools will accept transfer students for the 2013/2014 school year from June 1, 2013 through September 10, 2013 and once again at the start of the second semester from January 1, 2014 through February 10, 2014.
The parents of students desiring to attend Crothersville Community Schools should contact either the Jr.-Sr. High School office (793-2051) or the Elementary office (793-2622) for additional information regarding a transfer.
Crothersville Elementary Earns 4-Star Status
Crothersville Elementary has earned a Four Star rating from the Indiana Department of Education. To become a Four Star School, the elementary performed in the top 25% of schools in the state in math and English on the ISTEP+. In addition, the school met Adequate Yearly Progress under the federal "No Child Left Behind Act."
